Creating tasks in the mobile app
You can easily create new tasks directly in the mobile app by tapping the menu button in the Projects or My Tasks section and selecting Create new task 1.
A mobile version allows you to 2:
- Add assignee
- Specify start and end dates
- Set status
- Determine priority
- Log time
- Set estimation
- Add description
- Attach files
- Add comments (once you create and save the task)
You can also delete a task 3 in the mobile app. To do that, tap on the task and swipe left.
Take into consideration the following aspects while creating a task in a mobile app:
- Start and end dates, status, and priority are auto-filled with default values when you create a task.
- Task name and Path fields are mandatory. You won’t be able to save a new task without filling them.

How to log time in the mobile app?
You can log your working time manually or use a timer.
1. For manual time logging, tap on the corresponding task 1 in the Projects or My Tasks section. Proceed to the task settings, choose Time log 2, specify the date and hours spent on the task 3 and click on Save.
2. To set a timer, use one of the two available methods:
- Remaining in the Projects or My tasks section, as shown above, tap on a specific task to open the task settings. Select Time log, switch to the Timer tab, and start the timer.
- Alternatively, click the menu button at the bottom right in the Projects 1 or My tasks section and select Set timer 2. In this case, you have to select the task 3 for which you want to log time. By default, it is set to the last task you logged time for.
How does the timer work?
You can only set the timer for one task at a time.
When the timer is running, you'll see the task name and the counter at the top of the app screen 1. Tap there and then tap on the 'Stop' button 2 to save the time entry or on the 'Pause/resume' button 3 to temporarily stop or restart the timer.
The timer doesn’t stop if the app is running in the background or if you lose the internet connection. In the latter case, you will be able to manage your timer once the connection is restored.
However, if you shut down the app, the timer will reset and the time log will NOT be saved.
What can you do with the logged time in the mobile app?
Whether you log time manually or via the timer, you can then:
- Edit the date of the time entry
- Edit the logged time
- Delete the logged time
- Add, edit, or remove comments associated with the time entry.
To perform these actions, tap and hold the corresponding time entry 1.
You will see two options 2: 'Edit' and 'Delete'.
Timer widget
When the timer is active and you lock your phone, a timer widget will appear on your lock screen. On the widget, you can see:
1 The task name and the current time logged for this task.
2 The 'Stop' and 3 'Pause/Resume' buttons.
- Tap on the 'Pause/Resume' button to temporarily stop or restart the timer.
- Tap on the ‘Stop’ button to turn off the timer and save the logged time. In this case, you’ll be redirected to the settings of the task you are logging time for 4.
If you tap on the widget while the timer is running or paused, it will open the timer in settings for the task you are logging time for 5.
