In case if you work with similar tasks in your project, you may save time by using copy and paste feature.
To copy a task, click on the three-dots button on the right side of its name or just right-click on the task and then select Copy 1.
To paste what you have just copied, go to the part where you want to add copied task(s), click again on the three-dots button on the right side of the task name or right-click on the task that will precede or follow that task(s) and then select Paste 2. Here, you have to choose if you need to insert the copied task below or above.
Once you select Paste above or Paste below, a Paste special window will appear where you can tick all the relevant boxes and click on Apply.
By default, the copy will contain task name, resource, links, custom color, and description. However, you can configure which information you want to paste. That is:
- Resource
- Links
- Custom color
- Task description
- Progress
- Dates
- Attached files
- Comments
- Priorities
- Status
You can copy and paste tasks within the same project or from one project to another.
Keep in mind that you cannot use a Copy/Paste feature if any Filter is applied. Thus, make sure to clear all filters prior to this.
