To keep tasks under full control and be aware of everything that is going on in a project, you have Notifications.
There are three types of notifications:
- Activity feed notifications
- Email notifications
- Push notifications
Activity feed shows all the notifications sorted out by date. The Email ones are switched on by default. Push notifications should be enabled and also allowed in your browser. Note that unlike Email and Push notifications, you cannot disable them in the Activity feed.
There are two ways to configure notifications: in the Account settings and in the Activity feed.
To set up notification preferences in the Account settings, click on the Notifications icon 1 on the left sidebar.
After that, you can choose which notification to get:
2 The task assigned to you ends in 1-7 days.
3 The deadline for the task assigned to you is approaching in 1-7 days.
4 The task assigned to you starts in 1-7 days.
5 Someone has mentioned you in the comments on the task.
6 Someone has assigned a task to you.
7 Someone has commented on a task assigned to you.
8 Someone has attached a file to a task assigned to you.
Note that for start and end dates, as well as deadlines, you can select how many days in advance you want to get the notification 9. And it is also possible to select whether you want to receive email or push notifications, or both, by checking the corresponding boxes 10.
If you select Switch back to the default settings 11, you will enable all notifications through email and disable all push notifications.
To set up notifications through the Activity feed, click on the Notification icon on the left sidebar. This icon will also highlight the number of all the unseen notifications. You can also open active tasks, projects straight from the Activity feed.
Additionally, you can enable or disable sound for the notifications either in the Activity feed or in the Notification section of the Account settings.
Apart from that, you have Mobile app notifications that will let you be one hundred percent sure that you do not miss any single detail from the project you are working on.
