To show only rows with errors on the import page, tick Show only rows with errors 1 in the upper right corner.
The page doesn't load
If you have uploaded the document and the page doesn't load, please try the following:
- Check if you have any extra pages in your original file, delete them and try to import once again.
- Check if you have the latest version of your browser. We recommend using Google Chrome, Opera, Safari, or Firefox.
- Clear the cache and cookies of your browser and try to import once again.
- Try to import a project in another browser.
If none of the above helps, email us at support@ganttpro.com. Please attach the document that you are trying to import.
I have an error in the date format
If some rows are highlighted in red and there is a warning message, please check the format of your dates or time 1. The format is matched automatically, but if you have any specific symbols or non-standard data format display, you can either change your date format or do not import Start\End dates fields.
I have an error in WBS field
If you map a column from your file to the WBS field in GanttPRO, make sure the WBS structure is valid and contains no gaps.
If you get the error "Invalid WBS value. WBS cannot contain leading zeros (e.g., 0.1, 1.0, 1.0.2), duplicate keys, and must use dots (.) only", then please, delete text from the WBS field. This field should only include numbers. Additionally, make sure that WBS numbers go in order starting with 1.
I don't see how I can export a document
If you don't see the Export icon in the top right corner of the page, you don't have permissions to create or import new projects. The permission to export projects is regulated on the account roles level. Only the account owner and the account admin can export projects.
I set up working days and hours on the pre-import page, but they were not saved
If you are importing the project, there is no need to fill in the start day, working week, etc. on the project creation page. When a project is successfully imported, you can set project calendar in the Project settings.
Field cannot contain empty values
The following GanttPRO fields cannot contain empty values:
- Status
- Priority
- Start date and time
- End date and time
- Duration
If any cells in these columns are empty, you can either fill them in manually in the table or click the gear icon next to the column header and choose the option to fill empty cells with default values.
I can't select a task as a milestone
Please note that tasks with a duration greater than 0 cannot be selected as milestones. You can tick only tasks with no duration or tasks with the 0 duration.
My custom field values are highlighted in red
If you map a column from your file to a custom field in GanttPRO, any values that cannot be matched automatically by exact value will be highlighted in red.
Values mapped to custom fields cannot be edited directly in the table. To adjust them, open Advanced mapping settings. There, you can manually match source values to the corresponding custom field values or use AI mapping to match them automatically for you.
This way you can avoid misconnecting incorrect custom fields with their values.
How can I match two columns to one header row
Each column must have an unique heading, meaning you can not map two and more columns to the same GanttPRO field. You can create a custom field with the appropriate type and use it for one of your other columns.
